Sylvia Berryman is associa te professor of philosophy at the University of British Columbia, where she has taught since 2004. She studies ancient Greek philosophy and science, A ristotelian ethics, and ethics and global poverty.

AlanBelk is a Philosophers’ Café moderator.

Cody Brooks has completed his Masters in philosophy at SFU in 2019.

I an Brooks is a Lecturer at Fraser International College, where he teaches philosophy and rhetoric. He specializes in virtue ethics. From his background in engineering, he takes an interest in professional ethics. Thi s will be his second time judging an Ethics Bowl, and he would like to than k participants for their hard work in preparing.

Lyle Crawfor d teaches philosophy at many institutions in the Greater Vancouver , including Simon Fraser University and Fraser International College. He cu rrently devotes most of his teaching to critical thinking, and he has been involved in many outreach activities.

Frank Cunningham is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Political Science at the Univers ity of Toronto. He was on the writing teams for the Ontario Grade 11 and Gr ade 12 courses in philosophy, and is a founding officer of the Ontario Phil osophy Teachers Association (the Ontario Ministry recognized Subject Associ ation for philosophy).

Tom Donaldson studied mathema tics and philosophy at Oxford, before moving to Rutgersto complete a PhD in philosophy. He taught at Stanford before moving to Simon Fraser University . He spends most of his time thinking about truth and mathematics. With Ste ve Stich, he wrote the book Philosophy: Asking Questions, Seeking Answe rs, which you should certainly buy without delay.

Cem Er kli has been a graduate student in philosophy at SFU since fall 20 17, after completing his BA in Philosophy at Bilkent University, Turkey.

Susan Gardner is Professor of philosophy at Capilano U niversity. Her main research focuses on critical thinking and Philosophy fo r Children (P4C). According to Gardner, a necessary condition of a well-liv ed life is that one learns how to think well.

Bruno Guindon < /strong>is Lecturer of philosophy at SFU. He regularly teaches courses in e thics. His research focuses on rationality and reasons, both theoretical an d practical.

Sarah Hogarth Rossiter wanted to be a m athematician when she was in highs chool; an under graduate course in logic , however, set her on a more philosophical track. Now, Sarah is an historia n of medieval philosophy, having completed her PhD at Western University in 2017. She moved to the BC Lower Mainland two years ago, and currently teac hes philosophy at both Douglas College and Columbia College. When not helpi ng students sort their modus ponens from their modus tollens, Sarah can be found creating beautiful music with a number of local choirs, or creating b eautiful fabric on either her loom or her knitting needles.

J ames Hutchinson is currently Lecturer of Philosophy at SFU. Jim wo rks mostly on issues in epistemology, especially as they appear in the mode rn and early analytic periods and in connection with logic.

F iona MacDonald is an Associate Professor specializing in Political Theory at the University of the Fraser Valley.

Aaron Mascare nhas has been a graduate student in philosophy at SFU since fall 2 019.

Hesam Mohamadi has been a graduate student in p hilosophy at SFU since fall 2019.

VarshaPai has been a graduate student in philosophy at SFU since fall 2017.
Ell iot Rossiter Elliot Rossiter is a regular faculty member in the De partment of Philosophy & Humanities at Douglas College in New Westminst er, BC. His research and teaching focuses primarily on issues related to th e history of ethics and applied ethics.

Farshad Sadoughian has completed his Masters  in philosophy at SFU in 2019.
Kesavan Thanagopal entered the MA program in fall 2019 fol lowing a DPhil in Mathematics

from the University of Oxford, UK and a n MA in Philosophy, specialising in Logic and Philosophy of Mathematics fro m the University of Bristol.
Evan Tiffany is a Profe ssor of philosophy at SFU, and currently Chair of the department.

Jennifer Wang completed her PhD on modal metaphysics at Rutge rs University, and has subsequently taught at the University of Georgia, St anford University, and SFU. In 2017, she coached the Hillsdale High School Ethics Bowl team, who were semifinalists in the Northern California High Sc hool Ethics Bowl.
