 sociate professor of philosophy at the University of British Columbia, wher
 e she has taught since 2004. She studies ancient Greek philosophy and scien
 ce, Aristotelian ethics, and ethics and global poverty.\n\n\nAlanBelk is a 
 Philosophers’ Café moderator.\n\n\nCody Brooks has completed his Masters i
 n philosophy at SFU in 2019.\n\n\nIan Brooks is a Lecturer at Fraser Intern
 ational College, where he teaches philosophy and rhetoric. He specializes i
 n virtue ethics. From his background in engineering, he takes an interest i
 n professional ethics. This will be his second time judging an Ethics Bowl,
  and he would like to thank participants for their hard work in preparing.\
 n\n\nLyle Crawford teaches philosophy at many institutions in the Greater V
 ancouver, including Simon Fraser University and Fraser International Colleg
 e. He currently devotes most of his teaching to critical thinking, and he h
 as been involved in many outreach activities.\n\n\nFrank Cunningham is Prof
 essor Emeritus of Philosophy and Political Science at the University of Tor
 onto. He was on the writing teams for the Ontario Grade 11 and Grade 12 cou
 rses in philosophy, and is a founding officer of the Ontario Philosophy Tea
 chers Association (the Ontario Ministry recognized Subject Association for 
 philosophy).\n\n\nTom Donaldson studied mathematics and philosophy at Oxfor
 d, before moving to Rutgersto complete a PhD in philosophy. He taught at St
 anford before moving to Simon Fraser University. He spends most of his time
  thinking about truth and mathematics. With Steve Stich, he wrote the book 
 Philosophy: Asking Questions, Seeking Answers, which you should certainly b
 uy without delay.\n\n\nCem Erkli has been a graduate student in philosophy 
 at SFU since fall 2017, after completing his BA in Philosophy at Bilkent Un
 iversity, Turkey.\n\n\nSusan Gardner is Professor of philosophy at Capilano
  University. Her main research focuses on critical thinking and Philosophy 
 for Children (P4C). According to Gardner, a necessary condition of a well-l
 ived life is that one learns how to think well.\n\n\nBruno Guindon is Lectu
 rer of philosophy at SFU. He regularly teaches courses in ethics. His resea
 rch focuses on rationality and reasons, both theoretical and practical.\n\n
 \nSarah Hogarth Rossiter wanted to be a mathematician when she was in highs
  chool; an under graduate course in logic, however, set her on a more philo
 sophical track. Now, Sarah is an historian of medieval philosophy, having c
 ompleted her PhD at Western University in 2017. She moved to the BC Lower M
 ainland two years ago, and currently teaches philosophy at both Douglas Col
 lege and Columbia College. When not helping students sort their modus ponen
 s from their modus tollens, Sarah can be found creating beautiful music wit
 h a number of local choirs, or creating beautiful fabric on either her loom
  or her knitting needles.\n\n\nJames Hutchinson is currently Lecturer of Ph
 ilosophy at SFU. Jim works mostly on issues in epistemology, especially as 
 they appear in the modern and early analytic periods and in connection with
  logic.\n\n\nFiona MacDonald is an Associate Professor specializing in Poli
 tical Theory at the University of the Fraser Valley.\n\n\nAaron Mascarenhas
  has been a graduate student in philosophy at SFU since fall 2019.\n\n\nHes
 am Mohamadi has been a graduate student in philosophy at SFU since fall 201
 9.\n\n\nVarshaPai has been a graduate student in philosophy at SFU since fa
 ll 2017.\n Elliot Rossiter Elliot Rossiter is a regular faculty member in t
 he Department of Philosophy &amp; Humanities at Douglas College in New West
 minster, BC. His research and teaching focuses primarily on issues related

 tanford University, and SFU. In 2017, she coached the Hillsdale High School
  Ethics Bowl team, who were semifinalists in the Northern California High S
